Balloon Joy Flights - Canowindra Balloons - N.S.W. Australia
Join us for an early morning Balloon Flight over the picturesque Belubula Valley at Canowindra in the Central West of NSW between Orange and Cowra. We are two hours drive from Canberra and four hours west of Sydney.
Toms Waterhole Wines and its vineyard are located in Canowindra, part of the Cowra Wine Region.
Sunrise Flights
Sunrise Flights last for 45 minutes to 1 hour flying time depending on available landing sites. We recommend you allow at least three to four hours with us. This is the ultimate ballooning experience conducted by our resident commercial pilot who gives a full commentary on how the balloon works coupled with local knowledge.
Ballooning is a magic experience.
Group Flights
Group Flights are offered for groups of 6 to 24 people booking and flying together. These flights are designed to give you a taste of ballooning and at a less expensive price and last for a minimum of 30 minutes flying time. This package is suitable for family reunions, sporting & social clubs, special interest groups and fundraising.
Visit us to experience the magic and tranquility of an airborne adventure and our country hospitality. We meet at dawn when the winds are calm and stable. Your mornings activities last about 3 to 4 hours and finish with a beautiful champagne breakfast and flight certificate at our winery.

An international “festival of flight” featuring a ballooning competition with prizes of $10,000 AUD, $5,000 AUD and 64 cases of excellent Canowindra organic Chardonnay wine. The Canowindra Challenge brings together groups, teams and individuals who have an interest in competitive ballooning as well as a host of related flight-based events . Model hot air balloons, radio controlled aircraft, kites, racing pigeons, Society of Antique Modelers.
Graham & Jan Kerr will present a program that draws together many differing organizations and businesses in a event which is sure to attract international audiences keen to experience rural Australian hospitality.
